The city of Linz



Linz is the capital of Upper Austria and is situated along the river Danube. The city has two universities and a population of about 200,000. Linz is well known for its Bruckner Music Festival and Ars Electronica Museum. The annual Athletics Grand Prix Meeting is held at the Linz Gugl Stadium. In 1999 Linz was the venue of the European Squash Team Championships and in 2002 of the World University Squash Championships.

Linz has excellent international road and rail connections. There are daily flights from Linz Airport to Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich.
